How Often Should You Get a Full Detail?
For a full detail we recommend every 2 to 3 months. Here is why.
When we do a full detail we apply wax and sealant to protect your paint. That protection typically lasts between 1 to 3 months depending on how much you drive and where you park. Once that protection wears off your paint is exposed again — and that is when damage starts building up.
Every 2 to 3 months keeps your car consistently protected and looking its best all year round.
What About Ceramic Coating Customers?
If you have ceramic coating on your vehicle the schedule is different. We recommend coming back every 6 months — but not for a full detail. That visit is specifically for ceramic coating maintenance to refresh the protective layer and keep your coating performing at its best.
Ceramic coating customers get longer protection between visits — which is one of the biggest advantages of the service.
⚠️ What Happens When You Wait Too Long?
When customers come to us after 1 or 2 years of no detailing we see heavy stains that are very hard to remove. Sometimes those stains are permanent — meaning no amount of cleaning can fully fix them.
If you value your clean ride make sure you do not let too much time go between details. The longer you wait the harder the job becomes — and some damage simply cannot be undone.
Do not take too much time before it gets too late.
Does Virginia Beach Require More Frequent Detailing?
Unfortunately yes. Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads get heavy rain during certain seasons. Your car first starts developing water spots and if those are not treated they keep building up with more contamination over time.
The coastal climate in our area is harder on vehicles than most other parts of the country. Salt air, humidity, heavy rain, and intense sun all work against your paint year round. This is why we recommend staying on a consistent detailing schedule if you live in the 757 area.
Outside Parking vs Garage — A Massive Difference
There is a massive difference between parking outside and parking in a garage when it comes to how often you need to detail.
🌦️ Parking Outside
Your car is exposed to sun, rain, pollen, bird droppings, salt air, and road contamination every single day. The paint deteriorates much more quickly and you will need to detail more often to keep it protected.
DETAIL EVERY 2 MONTHS🏠 Parking in a Garage
A garage dramatically slows down the damage. Your paint stays protected from the elements and your detail results last significantly longer between visits.
DETAIL EVERY 3 MONTHSDoes the Type of Car Matter?
Yes — the materials used in different vehicles affect how quickly they get dirty and how often they need attention.
For example, the Toyota Corolla is a fantastic and reliable car. But the interior materials used in it get dirty very easily. If you do not act quickly when stains appear they can become permanent. Different vehicles have different interior materials and some require more frequent attention than others.
